Singer BoA will be working with worldknown pop star Akon for his Japanese album ‘Freedom+2′.
Akon debuted in 2004 with his first album ‘Trouble’ whch sold over 10 million copies worldwide.
And this time he will be releasing a new album ‘Freedom+2′ which will include 13 songs from his 3rd album ‘Freedom’ released last December, but it will include 2 new songs ‘Beautiful’ featuring BoA and a reggae remix of the song.

And he had proposed for BoA to work with him on this album. Akon said, “I saw BoA during the ‘Spring Groove 09′ on 4th April for the first time. And I have worked with BoA for this new song ‘Beautiful’. If I have the chance to work with BoA or perform on stage with her again, it would be great.”
BoA also said, “I’m excited to be able to work with one of the top pop stars in the world. And personally I like the song ‘Beautiful’ and I enjoyed the recording of the songs a lot.”
The album ‘Freedom+2′ will be released in Japan on 5th August.

Kusanagi Tsuyoshi's 'Ninkyo Helper' received the best ratings last week with 17.5% for its first episode. Hailing from the same agency, NEWS member Yamashita Tomohisa's new drama, 'Buzzer Beat', airing on the same network (Fuji TV) achieved 15.5% for its first episode which aired yesterday. The ratings for this drama are quite good and will hopefully beat the dismal ratings from last season's Getsu9 drama, 'Konkatsu!', starring Nakai Masahiro, which had an average of 10%.

This basketball-centered love drama features a strong cast of young idols in the lead roles, namely Yamashita, Kitagawa Keiko and Aibu Saki. Airing during the summertime, the ratings are expected to be high.

Wow. How amazing does the GazettE look in their new PV? *_* I'm going to have to get used to Uruha having flat hair, but he's so beautiful that I'm sure I'll get used to it soon, and the rest of the band is so hot in this new look that I didn't really have the chance to be bothered by Uruha's flat hair. Ruki and his tongue... *flails* The latex gloves are a really nice touch, too. Mostly, I spent this PV drooling over Ruki.

There's a new song to be heard amid all of the hotness, too. I like the new song. It's not striking me as the best song ever, but Ruki sounds really good, and his vocals are always a highlight of Gazetto's music for me. It's pretty straightforward, and I like it more with each new listen, so that's a good sign. And I haven't noticed any weird gimmicks or questionable musical decisions, so that makes me even more excited about the new album! My copy should be here next week, so I'll be on pins and needles until then!

Gackt is achieving that perfect balance of complete overkill and rabid anticipation that only he (and Diru) can inspire in me as he flogs this 10th anniversary thing into a bloody pulp. I mean that in a good way. I really do. Because I am totally loving this whole thing! ^_^

I'm posting these last two singles out of order. LOST ANGELS should be here, but I ripped and upped Flower first. It was sitting on top. No other reason than that. Flower was released on 2009/07/01, and it's the fourth out of four singles in this series. The four singles together are almost as good as a new album, though I'm really on pins and needles to see what Gackt's next album will sound like. I've been so impressed with everything that he's done since he came back to music, and I just keep on saying that it's so wonderful to see Gackt back with all of this energy and passion, but it's the truth, so I'm just going to keep on saying it. "Flower" and "In Flames" are equally good songs this time out. "Flower" is a little more anthemic, and "In Flames" strikes me as a bit more impassioned, but this is another can't-miss single! Happy Tenth Anniversay, Gackt!!

Yay! A PV for one of these singles! It's so weird to have Gackt singles without PVs, isn't it? This PV makes me so happy. I'm not sure that was Gackt's intention, since he's all brooding and mopey in this PV, but that's part of what makes me so happy. This is vintage Gackt. Even the skinny brown cigarettes are back! ^_^ Does anyone else get the impression that Gackt is happy and very creative when he's moping about something? Or at least when he's pretending to mope about something in a PV... You know what I mean, right? So Gackt is happily moping and GacktJOB is rocking out, and the PV is pretty much the best of both worlds. And there is happiness all around!

Gackt - Flower PV

This TV performance matches with the PV quite well. Part of it is the identical costumes and styling and choreography, but the mood matches, too. You is very blond right now, ne? I think I like it -- and the gods know that it's better than green -- but I'm still getting used to it. Chachamaru is very distracting to me right now. I want to call him 'daddy' and do unspeakable things to/with him. I'm sure that was too much info, but it needed to be said. Yowza.

Gravure idol Yukiko Hachisuka (23), a member of the current "Miniskirt Police," has revealed that she was groped on a train on the evening of July 10th. Fortunately, she was able to capture the perpetrator.

According to Hachisuka, at around 6:50pm she was returning home from gravure work, riding the Odakyu express train from Shimokitazawa Station. While standing, she was groped from behind. "Right when I boarded the train, I felt my behind being touched with the back of someone's hand. Then, it turned to the palm of their hand, and they were moving their fingers in an unnatural way," explained Hachisuka.

Shoko Nakagawa, the Gurren Lagann theme singer and Eyeshield 21 actress known to fans as "Shokotan," has reported in a Sunday blog entry that her Sukashi Kashipan Man hero character has an unspecified live-action project planned in America. She acknowledges that this development sounds like an April Fool's joke, but insists it is true.

In 2007, Nakagawa created an illustration of a hero character based on her interest in sand dollars (sukashikashipan) and sweet buns (kashi pan). After showcasing the design on her blog and television appearances, Nakagawa turned the character in a mini-franchise with anime on mobile phone websites, a Nintendo DS game, a manga by Arima Honda in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine, and even an official sweet bun in LAWSON convenience stores. The Sukashi Kashipan Man the Movie DVD was released last August. Nakagawa performed at Anime Expo in Los Angeles last July.

This came out a few days ago but I didn't see it posted. This is the new PV for Remio's new single, Starting Over. It will be released on July 15th.


I think it's pretty good, I really don't care for the song though. But the lead singer is kind of cutie.
