After facing possible arrest, Big Bang’s G-Dragon might face as his punishment for the inappropriateness he displayed to the minors, the fans around the globe began to voice out their dissatisfaction toward the issue in unison.

It has now reported that a thousand fans who were part of the audience on the day of the performance – in other words, the “victims” of G-Dragon’s “crime” – have joined in to form a petition to the Prosecution District. They believed his performance was not bad enough to undergo such harsh consequences.

The petition stated,

In order for a performance to be filed for being obscene, the audience must agree to it. However, the concert was not obscene to the viewers and none of us were sexually offended. We can not let a single performance degrade the quality of the whole concert.

So do you guys agree to their opinion? But come on, guys – how can a boy tying up a girl in a bed and dry-humping her while singing songs NOT be considered obscene and provocative?

GACKT is certainly keeping busy these days, but since he's celebrating his 10th anniversary (and I think we all know that GACKT really enjoys celebrating himself), I'm having a great time celebrating right along with him! I'm a little bit behind right now, since the latest single was released on New Year's Day, but I won't have my copy of that one til the end of January, so I'll post what I received in my last shipment instead.

Setsugekka was released on 2009/12/09, and it's the theme song to a game called "Samurai Warriors 3". Between the game tie-in and GACKT's new leaning toward a Japanesque sound, I adore the direction this single goes. Of course it has all of the talent, skill, and high production values that I expect from everything that GACKT does, but the Japanesque touches are so wonderful. Some of it is obvious, like the use of the shakuhachi in "ZAN", but be sure to listen to the instrumental versions of both songs because you can even hear the traditional elements in some of the chords and rhythms. For all that GACKT can be over-the-top sometimes, he can also be very subtle and graceful. No wonder I love him so much! This is an amazing single, and while I'm sure you already have itm there was no way that I was going to not post it.

With a new single comes a new PV, and the PV for "Setsugekka" is very cinematic and beautiful. I think the mood of the PV fits the mood of the song really well. The imagery is beautiful, too. The mask gives me the creeps a little, but those masks always do -- it's the empty eyes. *shudder* GACKT is flawless, and his hair is really good again. Nothing weird, so hopefully he learned from the cornrow incident and won't be doing anything crazy again. This video would be perfect if You and Chachamaru were more prominently featured. From the glimpses of them, they both look really good right now, and I find myself more obsessed with Chachamaru the older he gets. Yum. This is a TV-capture, but it's a really good one, hence the excessive file size.

Up-and-coming singer MiChi (24) is doing her first theme song for a theatrical film. The tune, titled "Together again," will be used in Tomoyuki Furumaya's "Bushido Sixteen," scheduled to open this spring.

The movie, about two young female kendo athletes, stars Riko Narumi (17) and Kie Kitano (18). MiChi has become very popular among the teenage demographic, making her a good fit for the film.

MiChi's "Together again" is expected to go on sale in April, around the time of the film's release.

After the huge success of Boys Over Flowers, it seems someone thought having a reality show following the lives of four real life rich flower boys would be a good idea. Coming soon to Korean cable channel On Style is Papa Rich (파파리치), which will follow the luxurious life of four young chaebeols. The four players in this show are: Eom Seong Mo, 25 the son of a medical family that owns several hospitals; Yoon Suk Min, 25 son of parents who own a financial group; Kim Hyung Woo, 21 grandson of the K Group; and Park Jae Young, 20 grandson of the M Company.

The show follows their life in which their family’s fortunes puts them in the top 1% of the Korean population in terms of wealth. They have allowances in excess of ₩20,000,000 ( yes, all those zeros are correct – about $20,000) a month, drive luxury foreign cars, and ‘hang out’ with friends in ways beyond what most of us are able to. The four are said to have different and interesting personalities and the show will follow all aspects of their life not just the happy and fun stuff, but also all the stress and difficulties they experience. They grew up going to all the upper class schools, leading somewhat sheltered lives, and have much pressure on them regarding their futures. Hmmm, talk about life imitating art. I wonder if one of them will fall in love with the plucky daughter of a dry cleaner, and then his mom finds out and goes ballistic, but then his best friend falls in love with her too?

Koreans speak up about who they see as the next Lee Hyori!

A poll was conducted through the show Real Story to find who Koreans see as the next female superstar like Hyori. The search is the done through 3 stages:
1. determining the most talented/popular girl groups of 2009 (SNSD, 2NE1, After School were selected)
2. identifying the best (in terms of beauty, marketability, popularity, talent) members of each group. Dara for 2NE1, Yoona for SNSD, and UEE for After School were chosen.
3. a survey of 100 people was done.

Actor Bae Soo-bin has decided to join the cast of a historial drama by famed producer Lee Byueong-hoon of hit TV series "Dae Jang Geum" and "Yi San", according to Bae's agency BH Entertainment on Tuesday.

BH explained that Bae, 33, will play the role of a swordsman who dedicates his life to protecting his love Dong Yi, played by actress Han Hyo-joo, in the TV series also tentatively titled "Dong Yi" in English.

The drama will be about the life of Dong Yi who grows up to become Choi Suk-bin, a consort of King Sukjong and the mother of King Youngjo during the Joseon Dynasty. Hallyu star Ji Jin-hee has been tapped to play the role of King Sukjong.

This will be Bae's second time working with Han -- they became two of the most sought-after actors and actresses in the entertainment industry for their role in drama "Shining Inheritance" earlier last year which ended its run with a 41.7 percent rating.

Bae's most recent drama "Temptation of an Angel" which ended in December also saw a successful run, with its ratings surpassing the 20 percent mark.

He will soon undergo training in swordsmanship for the drama set to go into shoot starting later this month.

The time to say goodbye to SBS Family Outing is coming close, but it doesn’t look like our Sunday happiness will be in doom anymore. The list of the celebrities who have been offered to be cast in Family Outing Season 2 – which unfortunately will not include almost all of the original members, including MC Yoo Jae Suk (yes, it’s been confirmed again that he’s leaving for good) – has been unveiled. I gotta say, it looks pretty good.

2009's scary rookie girl group once again prevails on the charts. 2NE1 achieved #1 on Cyworld BGM Annual Top Songs Chart with 'I Don't Care', just surpassing 2009's top artists SNSD and G-Dragon. A few spots below at #5 is their collaboration CF song with Big Bang 'Lollipop'.

2NE1 also holds a few more spots in this Top 100 chart, with Bom's You and I at #11, Fire at #14, In The Club, CL & Minzy's Please Don't Go, and Let's Go Party at #36, #65, and #96 respectively.




2007 and 2008 belonged to also YG Entertainment as Big Bang took the #1 spot respectively for 'Lies' and 'Haru Haru'.
